Mountain Wedding Photography | Colorado Wedding Photographers | Stacy and John
Stacy and John had the day dialed in. Her father’s home in Lyons would provide the perfect backdrop for the perfect Colorado Mountain Wedding. What they didn’t know was Colorado’s weather had other plans. This couple rolled with the punches and rode the storm out.
The Perfect Backyard Mountain Wedding
Stacy’s father owns a home just outside of Lyons, Colorado where she grew up. She knew it would be the perfect spot for an outdoor wedding. She and John were so happy that the day would happen among friends in a familiar setting. This was no wedding venue but her father moved up his landscaping schedule to be sure his little girl would have the Mountain wedding of her dreams in the home she grew up in.
The sky unleashed and as buckets of rain fell, the bride and groom took charge. Stacy entertained the crowd – who cares if the bride was seen before the big moment? She made sure the kids were entertained and spent time greeting her guests as rain fell on her wedding gown. And John happily wiped down tables and removed table cloths so his guests could comfortably enjoy their big day.
Skies cleared and the ceremony went off without a hitch. Everyone enjoyed themselves and we made sure we told the story of their wedding day – even if it included a gullywasher of a downpour.
Mountain Wedding Photography at its Best
Stacy and John toasted their own wedded bliss with champagne glasses of beer. People danced. People prayed and the sun shone on this wonderful couple.
