No Heels, Snow Shoes!

Some brides-to-be wear high heels, others wear boots and some stick to the comfort of the flip flop. Lexy on the other hand went for classic Colorado mountain footwear for her’s and Jonathan’s engagement session in Rocky Mountain National Park: Snowshoes!!!

Couple embrace in trees engagement photoI don’t think you’ll see them on the runway in Paris or Milan, but Lexy and Jonathan’s choice of footwear was the perfect choice for their engagement shoot at the Wild Basin trail head near Estes Park. What else would you choose for a late winter shoot in mountains.

We had a great time with these two! It was beautifully warm day, a little windy (that explains the hats), but a gorgeous Colorado day. So we all trudged around in the chaussures appropriées, shooting along the creek and in the trees, again to avoid the wind, and made what I think are some wonderful photos.

Bride and groom near mountain streamI’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; it is sooooooo easy to make great photos when two people are as into each other as Lexy and Jonathan are. You can feel their love from across the room and see it in the smile on their faces! We can’t wait for the wedding!

Whether you are wearing MSR, Manolo Blahnik (thats right I watched Sex in the City) or Payless, give us a call we’d love to talk about your ideas for an engagement shoot and wedding!

P.S. Keep an eye out for Lexy and Jonathan’s wedding photos. Jonathan is a United States Navy man and is planning on wearing his dress blues. We love military weddings!
