Favorite Wedding Photos of 2015: Part 2

Blog Uncategorized

father and son deliberate weather delay

In my newspaper days I never liked doing “best of’s”. I always preferred to look forward not back at the year. Since Chris and I started our wedding photography business my feelings on it have changed. It is great to look back and see how far we’ve come over the year and even from the very beginning. These photos also bring a lot of joy. I love seeing happy people and it brings a bit of warmth to think back on couples reactions to our photos. Now it is my turn to pick my favorite wedding photos of 2015, the Chris Stark edition…

Ok, so this is not a typical wedding photo (above), but it is probably my favorite photo that Chris shot all year. Its the journalist in me, this is a great story telling photo. You can tell that the weather has become an issue in Brittany and Nick’s outdoor wedding at Windsong Estate. With the rain drops on their jackets, the wind blowing the trees and their hair, you can tell that Nick needs to make a tough decision on where the ceremony will be. Don’t worry everything turned out all right, see their Windsong wedding here.

What can I say about this photo, Chris shot this while I was posing Asher and Nicole for a portrait. This was one of those little moments that just happens naturally. These two were so cute together and Chris captured that perfectly!

Awesome exit shot at night with no ambient light! So much goodness here with all the faces, the rose petals and the dramatic light created by Chris! Brittany and Nick’s wedding is here.

Chris grabbed this one as the glasses start clinking. These two were a little shy, but he managed to nab this great shot. Adam and Nicole’s Nerdy wedding is here.

Great moment here! Look at all the faces and the cute kid. I’ve said it a hundred times but Chris is the master of the moment when we are shooting. He referenced “f8 and be there” in an his review of my photos, well this is f1.4 and be there. That takes skill and experience!

A sweet moment and great use of the available light. Chris made a great photo of on otherwise quiet moment during the first dance.

On this photo I am jealous. I was shooting the formals and got a very standard shot while standing just a couple feet away. Chris made this dynamic photo ten times better than my shot.

What can I say. So sweet!

Guys goofing around before the wedding. Often shooting the groom can be difficult because they tend to just sit around and drink and watch TV or play video games. Chris got these guys at peak goofball and it is so much fun!

Finally, Chris went all journo on these two, and made what would have been a standard entrance shot amazing.

Looking at all these photos makes me so excited for the coming wedding season! I can’t wait for 2016 wedding season to kick into full gear. Thanks for looking and check back soon, more great stuff is coming.
